USA.- February 27, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Kimberly Simone has been named the Director of Sales at Mohegan Sun, bringing with her over 16 years of extensive experience in marketing, business operations, and comprehensive sales in the meetings and conventions sector.

In her new role, Simone will oversee the business operations of the conventions and expo sales team within Mohegan Sun’s Convention & Sales department, which is under the leadership of John Washko.

John Washko, the VP of Sales & Marketing at Mohegan Sun, expressed confidence in Simone’s capabilities, stating, “Kim has demonstrated expertise in market trends, leading high-level sales initiatives, and fostering strong relationships in the hospitality industry. Simone’s previous experience in conventions and sales includes serving as the Director of Sales at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Old Saybrook, CT, and as the Director of Sales for Sabo Construction and Coldwell Banker New Homes in Waltham, MA.

Before her tenure at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina, Simone contributed to the success of Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, CT. In her most recent role as Director of Resort Sales from 2019 to 2021, she played a pivotal role in securing major convention business, supporting budget management, and navigating business development during the pandemic.

Prior to her position as Director of Resort Sales, Simone served as the National Sales Manager for the resort, strategically overseeing sales operations and analyzing data to enhance forward-looking strategy.
