Zona de Azar South Korea – Grand Korea Leisure Reports $31 Million in Casino Sales for August

South Korea.- September 4th 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The foreigner-only casino operator Grand Korea Leisure reported a 115% increase in casino sales month-on-month, reaching KRW41.3 billion (US$30.9 million) in August. This figure is also 23.6% higher compared to the same month in 2023.

The impressive results were driven by a 130% rise in table revenue to KRW38.1 billion (US$28.5 million) and a 19.4% increase in slot revenue to KRW3.18 billion (US$2.4 million). This performance followed an 8.9% improvement in drop to KRW330.8 billion (US$247 million).

For the first eight months of 2024, casino sales total KRW253.1 billion (US$189 million), marking a 7.1% decline compared to the same period last year, but showing growth after a slow start to the year.

The table drop for August reached KRW2.49 trillion (US$1.86 billion), up 17.0% year-on-year.

Grand Korea Leisure operates three casinos in South Korea, under the Seven Luck brand in Seoul and Busan.
