Zona de Azar USA – Fontainebleau Announces Sales Leadership Team in Las Vegas

USA.- April 25th 2023 www.zonadeazar.com Fontainebleau Las Vegas, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2023, on Monday introduced its new sales leadership team. The team is comprised of gaming and hospitality veterans who will guide the luxury resort through its opening later this year.

“Business travelers on the Strip have been craving something new, and Fontainebleau Las Vegas will showcase a space that is truly special, with innovative experiences that will aim to exceed expectations,” said Fontainebleau Las Vegas Chief Operating Officer Colleen Birch in a statement.

“Our team is already at work positioning Fontainebleau Las Vegas as the pinnacle of luxury hospitality, and we look forward to witnessing their success as we warmly welcome guests and groups to our resort.”

The Fontainebleau Las Vegas sales leadership team includes:

  • Kurt Wuebbenhorst, Senior Vice President of Sales, Catering, and Convention Services. Wuebbenhorst previously helped open The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas as the property’s vice president of sales. He also has served in leadership roles for Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, Hyatt Regency Lake Las Vegas, and Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.
  • Carmen M. Rubino Jr., Vice President of Sales. Rubino previously served three years as executive director of hotel sales when the Fontainebleau was in development under a different owner. He previously worked with Marriott Hotels and Resorts, twice as senior director of sales and marketing at The Cosmopolitan.
  • Erin Naeve, Vice President of Distribution and Social Sales. Naeve has more than 20 years of sales experience in Las Vegas hospitality and gaming industries. She previously was executive director of leisure sales for Resorts World Las Vegas, and also has worked for The Cosmopolitan, Travelzoo, Harrah’s Entertainment, and The Venetian.
  • Nicole Schmitz, Director of Sales. Previously the senior sales manager for the Fontainebleau, Schmitz also has worked as national sales manager for Resorts World Las Vegas. Her resume includes jobs with the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas.

When the Fontainebleau Las Vegas opens, it will feature 3,644 rooms and suites, as well as 550,000 square feet of customizable, indoor-outdoor meeting space. It will be located on 25 acres next to the Las Vegas Convention Center District.

In January 2023, it was announced that VICI Properties was contributing $350 million toward a $2.2 billion construction loan package allowing Fontainebleau developers to complete the north Las Vegas Strip project. According to The Nevada Independent, the Fontainebleau project was restarted in November 2021 when the original Florida-based developer reacquired the 25-acre site nine months earlier. The project sat unfinished for 12 years after construction was halted in 2009.
