Zona de Azar USA – Hard Rock Unveils Renovation Strategies for Mirage Rebrand

USA.- November 30th 2023 www.zonadeazar.com Hard Rock International (HRI) has unveiled comprehensive plans for the renovation of Mirage, a renowned resort in Las Vegas.

The proposed enhancements, recently approved by the Clark County Commission, encompass a significant transformation of the existing resort pool area, an expansion of the theater and casino floor spaces, and the addition of 1.2 million square feet to the overall resort.

The expansion will house a new theater, ballroom, and retail spaces, contributing to the resort’s overall appeal and entertainment offerings. The Clark County Commission also greenlit exterior changes that involve replacing Mirage’s iconic volcano attraction with a towering guitar-shaped structure, set to reach a height of 660 feet upon completion.

While details about the commencement of construction remain undisclosed, HRI’s records with the commission confirm the removal of the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, a move consistent with the attraction’s permanent closure a year ago.

Upon completion of the expansion, the Mirage’s casino space will span 174,000 square feet, and the new convention space will occupy 283,000 square feet. The renovated theater, now offering 6,265 seats, will nearly double its previous capacity.

In related developments, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon in California is gearing up for construction, with a groundbreaking expected by the end of the year, as announced in a recent social media post by the company.

Although the post suggests a groundbreaking in December, no specific opening dates have been disclosed. The $600 million casino project received approval last year and is set to be erected on 52 acres of land near Mettler, within a short drive of Bakersfield, according to a local news report from KGET.
