NFL suspensions under the spotlight
NFL season is the top handle and revenue generator for the sports betting industry.
After several years of being against it, the league has firmly embraced sports betting, and has partnership deals with sportsbooks.
As a result, the league has faced increased scrutiny given multiple players have been suspended for violating the NFL gambling policy, dating back to last season.
The league has stepped up its player education efforts and also updated its gambling policies. Still, the league has not clarified whether there are any more outstanding investigations from 2022 gambling violations.
