Ygam Appoints Emily Tofield as new Chief Executive

UK.- November 28, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com Ygam, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to preventing gaming and gambling harms among children and young people, has appointed Emily Tofield as its new Chief Executive Officer. She will officially join the organisation on 6 January 2026.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience across UK government, higher education, research, media and the not-for-profit sector, Emily has held senior roles at the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Justice, DEFRA, the University of Sussex, and the City of London Corporation. She is recognised for her expertise in strategic communications, corporate affairs, reputation management, marketing, policy and fundraising.

Background and strategic experience

Emily has served as a non-executive board member in several organisations. She currently sits on the board of homelessness charity Porchlight, is Chair Designate of the Girls’ Learning Trust, the largest all-girls state academy trust in the UK, and was recently appointed to the Board of the British Dietetic Association.
