Hipódromo de Palermo Hosts the Great Responsible Gaming Summit

Argentina – Hipódromo de Palermo.- 27 de Febrero de 2026 .- As part of the International Responsible Gaming Week, a landmark meeting brought together the key stakeholders of the sports, media and digital ecosystem to align communication strategies, prevention campaigns and common criteria aimed at building a safer, more transparent and sustainable industry.

The event gathered representatives from Boca Juniors, River Plate, Independiente and Racing, alongside leading media outlets such as La Nación, Clarín, Infobae and TNT Sports, content creators from Luzu, Vorterix and Blender, health professionals, social media platforms, consultants, licensed online gaming operators and state lotteries from across Argentina.

Reputation, legality and responsibility at the core

The central focus of the debate was the need to clearly differentiate licensed gaming from the illegal market, highlighting that regulated operators function under strict control, investment, traceability and prevention mechanisms, while the clandestine sector operates without oversight and represents the greatest risk for users.

Key topics discussed in a World Cup year context included:

  • responsible marketing and advertising
  • the social role of the industry
  • youth and the digital environment
  • psychology and technology in prevention
  • the relationship between football clubs and betting sponsors

Psychologist Florencia Casabella, from Fundación Potenciar, contributed a public health and prevention perspective, while social media representatives addressed the impact of new communication formats.

Coscu’s message: a defining moment

One of the most significant moments of the day was the participation of streamer Martín Pérez Disalvo (Coscu), who reflected on his experience after being reported in 2025 for promoting an illegal betting site:

“I have to be more responsible and take care of people, because we live thanks to our followers.”

His testimony placed the role of influencers in responsible communication at the centre of the discussion.

A united front between public and private sectors

The meeting was attended by the presidents of the state lotteries of Buenos Aires City, Santa Fe, Mendoza, Neuquén, San Juan, Jujuy and Santiago del Estero, together with gaming authorities from Buenos Aires Province, Córdoba, San Luis, Salta, Corrientes, Catamarca and Chubut, as well as representatives from Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile.

The leading market brands were also present:

Betwarrior, Bplay, Betsson, Betano, Codere, Sportsbet, Casino Buenos Aires, City Center, Hipódromo de Palermo, Casino Club, BinBaires, Ondiss and Grupo CET, along with banking institutions.

Social licence as the industry’s future

Ricardo Benedicto, President of the Argentine Chamber of Casinos and Bingo Halls, stated:

“The gaming industry is undergoing a profound transformation. We must become more professional, responsible and transparent, because social licence is not only a regulatory authorisation — it is the public’s trust.”

In the same vein, Ida López, President of ALEA, remarked:

“Responsible gaming is the transversal axis of our management. Society is demanding responsibility and trust, and both the public and private sectors are working together to achieve it.”

A clear message for the market

The meeting reinforced a key concept: a safe gaming ecosystem requires joint work, responsible communication and user education, reminding the public that in Argentina legal operators are those using the “.bet.ar” domain.

More than an event, it was an institutional statement:
the industry chose to speak with one voice to strengthen its reputation and its commitment to responsible gaming.
