BiS SiGMA South America Reinforces its Social and Environmental Commitment

Brazil.- 12 March 2026 www.zonadeazar.com The largest iGaming event in Latin America will feature initiatives from the SiGMA Foundation and the Zero Waste program.

More than one of the leading gatherings of the iGaming and betting industry in Latin America, BiS SiGMA South America strengthens with every edition its commitment to social responsibility, sustainability and positive community impact. Throughout the event days, the agenda includes environmental initiatives, charitable actions and discussions on regulation and responsible gaming.

One of the pillars of this commitment is the work of the SiGMA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the group, responsible for social projects in several countries. In 2024, for example, the foundation partnered with Faculdade da Luta, a sports center located in the HeliĂłpolis community in SĂŁo Paulo, expanding access for children and young people to sports and educational activities. The initiative reinforces the social legacy the event leaves in Brazil.

During BiS SiGMA South America, solidarity also takes center stage in the traditional charity auctions held during the SiGMA Awards and BiS Awards. The funds raised are entirely directed to the SiGMA Foundation, supporting projects focused on education, sports and community development.

On the environmental side, the event adopts practices aligned with sustainability principles. Held at the Transamerica Expo Center, BiS SiGMA will implement the “Zero Waste” program, developed in partnership with Multilixo. The initiative ensures the environmentally responsible disposal of all waste generated during the event.

At the venue, attendees will find clearly identified bins for the disposal of recyclable and organic waste. The material is separated into two different containers: recyclable waste is sent to specialized associations, promoting income generation and material reuse, while organic waste is directed to controlled incineration. At the end of the process, a certificate is issued confirming the proper destination of the waste, reinforcing transparency in the operation.

“We understand the importance of our industry in the Brazilian context, and being able to provide this social return is fundamental for us. We hope this can serve as inspiration for our clients and partners. In addition, the events industry globally has environmental impacts, and aligning ourselves with the best practices to manage these issues is essential. Responsibility in every sense is a cornerstone of our company’s strategy,” explains Flávio Figueiredo, Managing Director of the event.

Beyond practical initiatives, the conference program also dedicates significant space to discussions on regulation, responsible gaming and the socio-economic impact of the sector. Experts, authorities and industry executives will debate the role of companies in promoting responsible practices and the return to society through tax revenue and investments in public policies.
