Zona de Azar USA – Slot Machine Giant Aristocrat Names New CEO and President for its U.S. Operations
USA.- July 1st 2019 www.zonadeazar.com Australian gaming equipment giant Aristocrat Technologies has changed out the leadership of its U.S. headquarters, naming both a CEO and a president for its Las Vegas-based operations.
In a statement Friday, Aristocrat named Mitchell Bowman as the company’s new CEO of land-based operations. Also, Hector Fernandez was appointed president of Aristocrat Americas.
The move consolidates the company’s global land-based operations under Bowman, who is now responsible for all of Aristocrat’s regulated worldwide gaming businesses. Fernandez takes over from former Managing Director for the Americas Matt Wilson, who has accepted a new role outside Aristocrat and departed the company.
Fernandez will report directly to Bowman under the new arrangement, Aristocrat Group CEO Trevor Croker said in a statement. He will be supported by more than 1,500 employees assigned to the region. Fernandez was previously chief financial officer for the company’s U.S. operations.
“Mitchell Bowen is a first class and deeply respected global gaming leader,” Croker said. “His longstanding customer relationships have played a core role in thought leadership and the execution of Aristocrat’s growth in the past several years.”Croker called Fernandez “instrumental” in developing and supporting the company’s growth strategy for the Americas since his appointment as CFO last November.
Bowen has more than 15 years of experience with Aristocrat in marketing and transformation roles. He spent several years in the Americas and helped in the turnaround of the Australia & New Zealand business. Bowen currently has commercial and operational accountability for Aristocrat’s land-based business across the balance of the globe.
“This team has helped to establish our market leadership in recent years,” Croker said. “Hector’s appointment will ensure that the Americas team remains focused on maintaining momentum in that market and executing our plans for growth and transformation.”
Aristocrat is considered one of the three largest slot machine providers in the gaming industry, along with Scientific Games and International Game Technology. In December, the company consolidated its North American headquarters from five separate buildings spread across Las Vegas into an 180,000-square-foot facility on a 12-acre campus in the Summerlin area.
At last year’s Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, Aristocrat celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Buffalo slot machine. Slot analysts have rated the Buffalo slot machine as one the most popular games currently on casino floors. Aristocrat also unveiled the all-new Buffalo Diamond game.
Croker said that the time was right to create a “single, global land-based business.” The move will facilitate communication between regional teams and allow for better integration and more efficient execution.
“Bringing together our land-based operations also positions us to more effectively serve an increasing number of global customers and sets the business up for its next phase of growth,” he said.
Fernandez said in a statement, “I look forward to working with my colleagues and our customers to extend our position in this region. We plan to deliver more choice, performance, service and quality than ever before.”
