AGEM Index Falls in January Despite Over 11 % Annual Growth

International.– February 10, 2026 – www.zonadeazar.com  The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) Index slipped in January 2026, even as it continues to deliver double-digit year-on-year gains.


January Performance

AGEM reported that the index closed the month at 1,815.99 points, marking a 0.9 % decline from December as six of the ten tracked companies saw their share prices decrease sequentially.

Despite the monthly drop, the index remains up 11.4 % compared to January 2025, equivalent to an 185.99-point annual gain.


Drivers of the Index

Among the largest downward contributors were Aristocrat Leisure Limited, whose roughly 8 % decline cut more than 50 points from the index, and Agilysys, which slid some 27 %, subtracting roughly 20 points.

On the positive side, Konami Corp. was the biggest contributor to January’s performance, with a 5.3 % rise in its stock adding over 40 points to the index.


Market Context

The AGEM Index tracks the stock performance of 10 global gaming equipment and technology suppliers using a market-cap-weighted methodology. January’s mixed results indicate persistent long-term growth, even as short-term pressures from individual stock performance weighed on the monthly reading.
