Globo Secures Rights After Five Years with Band

Brasil.- July 15, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com   Globo will broadcast Formula 1 again starting in 2026 under a new deal valid until 2028, officially ending the recent dispute with Band, which has aired the series for the past five years.

Globo will air 15 live Grand Prix races per season, while sportv will broadcast all 24 races, practice sessions, and qualifying live. Formula 1 content will also be available on Globoplay and ge.globo, with extensive coverage across sports shows and news.

Formula 1 highlighted Brazil’s deep connection with the sport, having 33 drivers in its history, including three world champions and current driver Gabriel Bortoleto. The São Paulo Grand Prix remains a key date on the calendar.
