Zona de Azar Isle of Man – Pokerstars Winter Series Generates $84 Million Prize Pool Globally

Isle of Man.- January 30th 2019 www.zonadeazar.com PokerStars Winter Series, which ran from December 12, 2018 to January 18, 2019 as separate tournaments across PokerStars’ various networks, exceeded its $69 million combined guarantee by more than $15 million for a total $84.5 million. Globally, it attracted 2.8 million entries from more than 320,000 players across 690 events.

The Winter Series on PokerStars.com exceeded its $40 million guarantee with a total prize pool of $51.2 million. It attracted approximately two million entries from more than 244,000 unique players across 240 separate events.

Southern Europe’s edition of the Winter Series meanwhile attracted more than 630,000 entries from Spain, France and Portugal across 297 events and generated a total prize pool of $25.2 million (€22.2 million), beating its record-breaking advertised guarantee of €20 million.

Additionally, PokerStars Winter Series tournaments in Italy, New Jersey and India generated a total prize pool of approximately $8.1 million, exceeding the combined guarantee of $6.3 million.
