Brazil: Ancelotti Confirms Raphinha’s Return to the National Team

Brazil.- June 10, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com  The Brazilian National Team will have a key reinforcement for their upcoming match against Paraguay this Tuesday, the 10th, in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. During a press conference at Neo Química Arena, coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that forward Raphinha—who had an outstanding season in European football last year—will return to the squad.

“Raphinha is back, and that’s great news for us because he proved last season that he’s one of the best players right now. He’ll help us a lot. We need to play well to move closer to qualification. Having Raphinha on the team is very important,” said Ancelotti.

Although he is still in the early stages of his tenure with the Seleção, Ancelotti already feels the weight of expectations. However, with the experience of a coach who has won everything in Europe, he handles the pressure with the same ease with which he praises his players.

“Pressure exists everywhere in football because football is passion, it’s pressure, it’s everything. When there’s a result at stake, there’s pressure. In Brazil, even more so because it’s the national team. I see a lot of passion and love for the national team. When there’s so much passion and love, it increases the responsibility to work harder. Brazil currently sits in fourth place in the Qualifiers standings with 22 points. A victory over Paraguay would all but secure their spot in the World Cup. The match kicks off at Neo Química Arena this Tuesday, the 10th, at 9:45 PM (Brasília time).
