BETesportes and Other Companies Reobtain GLI Certification to Operate

On the afternoon of Wednesday, the 4th, SPA issued a new list of betting houses that are fully authorized to operate in the Brazilian betting market. The highlight is the presence of BETesporte.

Last week, the betting house had its operations suspended for not submitting the necessary documents and reports required to operate in the Brazilian betting market. However, although it was waiting for the GLI certificate, it has now received it and is fully authorized to operate throughout the national territory.

Last Friday, the 30th, SPA (Secretariat of Prizes and Betting) of the Ministry of Finance suspended the activities of seven betting houses that failed to present the mandatory reports needed to assess the security of their systems. SPA’s measure aimed to ensure the integrity and reliability of betting platforms in Brazil.

The suspension of the betting houses was based on SPA/MF Ordinance No. 722, issued on May 2, 2025. The ordinance established the technical and operational requirements necessary for the operation of betting in the country.
