Ethics, betting, and player risks under discussion

The workshop covered the importance of ethical conduct, risks of match-fixing, and potential sanctions. Players learned how to identify suspicious activities and the career and reputational risks associated with poor decisions.

Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Partnerships Manager at Sportradar, emphasized that players are central to preserving football’s credibility and must protect themselves from match-fixing approaches.

Commitment to transparency and clean sport

“Sharing real cases and data helps raise awareness of the risks poor decisions can bring,” Marchetti noted. João Paulo Marques, CMO of Alfa Entretenimento, highlighted the need to strengthen transparent and ethical practices on and off the pitch.

After the session, players met fans who received branded kits, including Grêmio shirts, and took photos with their idols.
