The Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) reaffirmed its dedication to sporting integrity by organizing the II Esporte Seguro Forum in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together athletic authorities, executives and athletes to discuss match-fixing and the importance of responsible gaming.
Emanuel Rego, COO of COB, stated: “Combating match-fixing is a priority for Brazilian Olympic sport. This Forum marks a major step in establishing a more ethical, transparent and safe environment for athletes, administrators and spectators.”
The event features industry leaders such as Giovanni Rocco Neto (National Secretary of Sports Betting), Donata Taddia (Ethics & Compliance Officer at the International Olympic Committee) and José Eduardo Gussem (Integrity Officer at the Brazilian Football Confederation) who will address monitoring mechanisms, fraud prevention and athlete education.
