Chile.- February 19, 2026 www.zonadeazar.com The Superintendence of Gaming Casinos extends until February 20, 2026, the deadline for consultations and clarification requests in the licensing processes for four casino operations across Chile.

Overview

The Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ) announces a five-day extension of the consultation and clarification period regarding the technical bases for the casino licensing processes in Iquique, Coquimbo, Viña del Mar and Pucón.

The new deadline is set for February 20, 2026, as part of the official timetable for awarding operating permits in the four municipalities.

Details / Context

Within the processes corresponding to Iquique and Viña del Mar, the SCJ replaces Annex No. 7 with a new version, published in the respective sections of its institutional website. The resolutions amending the technical bases for all four processes are also available.

The regulator states that on February 3 it formally initiated the licensing processes through Exempt Resolutions No. 112, 113, 114 and 115. The technical bases were previously published for download on January 30 and will remain available until July 23, 2026.

Interested bidders may download the technical bases — authorised under Exempt Resolutions No. 108, 109, 110 and 111 dated January 23, 2026 — and access the application system and its guidelines through the SCJ’s official portal.

This notification marks the beginning of the preparation phase for Technical and Economic Proposals. According to the established schedule, bidders have 120 business days to submit their proposals during the Technical and Economic Offer Presentation Hearing, scheduled for July 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the SCJ headquarters located at Morandé 360, 4th floor, Santiago.

Future Outlook

The extension reinforces the competitive and transparent nature of the licensing process, as Chile continues to oversee casino concessions under strict technical and regulatory standards. The progress of these stages will shape the future operational landscape of casinos in the municipalities involved.
