FIFA and Konami Extend eFootball Partnership

Continuing together in the Virtual World Cup

USA.- July 22, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com FIFA and Konami have announced the extension of their partnership, which began in 2024, to use eFootball as the official platform for the FIFAe World Cup on consoles and mobile devices.

Virtual tournament participation grows

In 2024, over 14 million players joined the online stages, with the finals featuring 16 countries in mobile and 18 in console competitions. The console finals set a new in-game record with over 400,000 concurrent viewers.

FIFA strengthens competitive gaming presence

After ending its historic partnership with EA in 2022, FIFA continues to expand its footprint in football esports with Konami, planning to increase the number of participating countries in this next edition of the Virtual World Cup.
