GAT Expo Cartagena 2026 Confirms Academic Agenda

Colombia.-  March 10, 2026 – www.zonadeazar.com  The organizers of GAT Expo Cartagena 2026 have confirmed the academic agenda for the event, which will take place from March 24 to 26 at the Las Américas Convention Center in Cartagena, Colombia, positioning itself as a key platform for regional integration within the Latin American gaming industry.

The academic conference will be held on March 24 in the La Niña Hall, featuring a program led by Fecoljuegos, the Colombian federation representing the gaming sector. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., regulators, industry leaders and experts will analyze regulatory frameworks across the Americas, from North America to the Southern Cone.

The conference aims to provide a strategic update on the state of the gaming market, emerging regulatory trends and the main challenges facing the industry in Latin America.

Details / Context

The opening keynote will be delivered by Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos, who is expected to highlight Colombia’s commitment to maintaining a modern and well-regulated gaming industry supported by one of the most advanced regulatory frameworks in the region.

Among the distinguished participants is Gregorio Eljach Pacheco, Attorney General of Colombia, who will address the importance of institutional trust and legal stability in a crucial electoral year for the country.

From an economic perspective, Daniel Velandia, Managing Director Research and Chief Economist at Credicorp Capital, will present the keynote session “Economic Outlook 2026”, offering insights into macroeconomic trends impacting the gaming industry in Latin America.

Another highlight will be the participation of Brian Krolicki, vice chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission, who will deliver an international keynote titled “Lessons from Nevada’s Regulatory Model for Latin America.”

Industry Panels

The agenda will also include specialized panels focused on:

  • technological innovation
  • transparency and traceability in the gaming industry
  • sports integrity and the prevention of match-fixing

The sports integrity discussion will include participation from DIMAYOR, Colombia’s professional football league, in a panel moderated by Germán Segura, general manager of BetPlay.

Industry associations will also participate in discussions on the role of trade organizations as bridges between regulators and operators, including representatives from Fecoljuegos, AIEJA, SONAJA, ALEA, CORNAZAR, FEDELCO and APOJA.

Exhibition Floor

On March 25 and 26, the event will host a large commercial exhibition featuring land-based gaming technology and digital solutions for the industry.

Confirmed exhibitors include Novomatic, Aristocrat, Merkur Gaming, Win Systems, Alfastreet, R. Franco, SpinTec, Gambee and Royal Gaming, alongside sports betting providers, certification laboratories and gaming technology platforms.
