ICE Donors Boost FES Project from the Sustainable Gaming Platform
Spain.– 5 December 2025 – www.zonadeazar.com ICE’s Sustainable Gaming Zone strengthens its commitment to responsible gaming by funding the FES Project, a key initiative to promote education, prevention and social engagement.
The Sustainable Gaming Platform has received renewed support following the announcement that donors from ICE’s Sustainable Gaming Zone will finance the full development of the FES Project. The initiative reinforces the industry’s commitment to balancing economic growth with social responsibility, consumer protection and higher corporate standards.
The FES Project —focused on training, education and awareness— aims to improve understanding of gambling-related risks, particularly among young people and educational communities. In a European context where regulatory expectations continue to increase, the programme arrives at a crucial moment.
Sector-wide collaboration
The contribution of ICE donors demonstrates the sector’s willingness to support initiatives with genuine social impact. The Sustainable Gaming Zone has become a central meeting point for operators, suppliers, associations and regulatory organisations working toward higher standards.
This new funding will enable the initiative to move forward with its 2026 plans, including regional expansion, new educational content and stronger cooperation with academic partners. The Sustainable Gaming Platform highlighted the importance of this contribution as awareness campaigns become increasingly necessary.
Education at the core
The educational focus of the FES Project includes the creation of pedagogical materials for students, parents and teachers, adapted to age and school level. Activities range from lectures and workshops to prevention guides and digital tools. The aim is to build a comprehensive understanding of gaming, regulation and available protection mechanisms.
Experts involved in the project emphasise that early education helps reduce vulnerability and encourages responsible habits. Schools and families play an essential role in accompanying young people as digital environments evolve.
Private-sector commitment
The participation of ICE donors sends a strong signal to the industry. By supporting educational and preventive initiatives, private stakeholders reinforce their commitment to a safer and more transparent market. This approach also strengthens their reputation and fosters cooperation with European regulators.
The financial support will not only allow the FES Project to expand its activities but will also encourage new partners to join similar efforts across the region.
A sustainability-driven 2026
For 2026, the Sustainable Gaming Platform plans substantial growth in its programmes. Key goals include expanding presence in schools, developing more interactive educational resources, integrating technological tools and coordinating interdisciplinary meetings.
With the support of ICE donors, the European industry continues to advance toward a more sustainable model in which social responsibility plays a central role.
