Madrid to Host the First International Gaming Congress

Spain.– October 16th, 2025 – www.zonadeazar.com Spain’s Ministry of Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and 2030 Agenda, through the Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ), has announced the First International Gaming Congress, to be held on 13–14 November at the Royal Mint of Spain (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre) in Madrid.

Under the theme “The Social Impact of Gambling”, the event will gather leading policymakers, operators, researchers, and social organisations to promote dialogue and reflection on the gaming sector’s evolution and its regulatory challenges.
The Congress aims to consolidate itself as a key forum for advancing consumer protection, market integrity, and responsible gaming.

Details / Context

The opening ceremony will be led by Minister Pablo Bustinduy, featuring national and international experts.
The two-day programme will include panel discussions, academic presentations, and policy debates covering the economic, social, and technological dimensions of gambling.

A dedicated area will showcase research projects funded by the DGOJ, with scientific teams presenting their findings and engaging directly with participants.

Future Outlook

With limited capacity for 300 attendees, registration will open soon via a dedicated website.
