MEC Establishes New Procedures For Betting Revenue Transfers To Education

The Ordinance No. 772, published in the Official Gazette, updates previous regulations to clarify how revenues from licensed betting operators will be collected and allocated to education.

Regulatory details

Collections must be made through the Federal Revenue Collection Document (DARF) using code 5862, referring to the Union’s participation in fixed-odds betting revenue.
The new measure also repeals sections of Ordinance No. 1.240/2024, aligning administrative processes with the rapid expansion of Brazil’s regulated betting market.
