Sportradar Drives Integrity with CONMEBOL and AFA in Argentina
Switzerland.- October 30, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com Sportradar participated in Argentina in a new edition of the Integrity Training programme, promoted by CONMEBOL in collaboration with AFA and with the support of Betano. The initiative is part of a series of meetings held in different South American countries with the aim of strengthening the culture of integrity in sport and promoting the prevention of match-fixing in member associations.
The event brought together Argentine football leaders, sports authorities, representatives of clubs and federations, as well as referees, players and coaches. During the day, topics such as match-fixing, violence, discrimination and the importance of education as a prevention tool were addressed.
The meeting was attended by Claudio Tapia, president of the AFA, who highlighted the organisation’s commitment to transparency and ethics in football: ‘Match-fixing is a scourge that affects the whole world, not just football. The best way to combat it is through prevention and education, especially among young people. That is our greatest duty,’ he said.
The event also featured presentations by Graciela Garay, CONMEBOL’s Director of Ethics, Compliance and Integrity; Jorge Ojeda, CONMEBOL’s Head of Integrity; and Felippe Marchetti, Sportradar’s Director of Integrity for Latin America, who shared their experiences and best practices in the fight against match-fixing.
‘Sportradar is delighted to once again collaborate with CONMEBOL and its member associations, now together with the AFA, in promoting a culture of integrity throughout the region. These training sessions are essential for strengthening cooperation and commitment to ethical and transparent sport,’ said Felippe Marchetti.
The training was broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of the Argentine Football Association, allowing players, referees and coaches from across the country to participate remotely.
