US Online Casinos Generate $868.6 Million in April Revenue

Each of the seven states that allow online gambling saw a minimum growth of 25% compared to the same period in 2024. Overall growth was 32.5%, representing an increase of more than $213 million.

April maintained high levels of revenue after March’s historic record, which exceeded $900 million. Connecticut stood out by setting a new record for the second consecutive month.

Total wagers reached $10.2 billion, although Michigan and New Jersey do not report monthly loss data. Pennsylvania led with $7.5 billion wagered. Meanwhile, Connecticut saw $1.6 billion in bets for the third time in four months.

Operators reported $787.9 million in taxable revenue, generating $169.3 million in taxes for the states — $43.9 million more than in April last year. These figures exclude local taxes and revenue sharing with indigenous communities.

In Connecticut, DraftKings and FanDuel extended their dominance. DraftKings invested nearly $11 million in promotions, while FanDuel surpassed $6 million for the fifth consecutive month. Combined gross earnings reached $61 million, representing a 47% year-over-year increase.
