The governor’s support for recovering the casino
In February, the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, expressed his commitment to recovering the Necochea Casino Complex. The president visited the city and held a press conference in which he referred to the building.
According to him, he said, “not only is he committed” to the restoration, but he knows “the situation” and noted: “I have spoken about it several times with Mayor Arturo Rojas. Now we change the authorities of the Lottery and Casinos Institute and we will see, because we have to find a solution and we will continue working on it.”
Kicillof spoke alongside the mayor of Necochea, Arturo Rojas, and explained that they are seeking to complete the unfinished works of the city, but he blamed the national government for the impossibility of doing so: “To (finish the works) resources are needed and it seems that there is a will to “to take away all resources from the province of Buenos Aires, to force an adjustment, when the province of Buenos Aires is the one that spends the least of all.”
