Zona de Azar Brasil – Brazil: Betting Operators in Brazil Will Pay up to R$1.9 Million per Month

Brazil,- February 12, 2025 – www.zonadeazar.com SPA has announced the establishment of a new monthly regulatory fee for betting operators. According to the published regulation, the fee will range from R$54,419.57 to R$1,944,000.00.

The amounts will be determined based on the company’s revenue after deductions allocated to public security, social security, education, and sports. The regulation defines eight revenue brackets, each with a specific tax amount.

For example, betting operators with revenues of R$30,837,749.76 will pay R$54,419.56, while those exceeding R$660,960,000.00 will be taxed R$1,944,000.00. Payment must be made by the 10th of the month following the prize distribution using the Union Collection Guide (GRU) through the PagTesouro system, which offers options such as Pix, credit card, or bank slip.

These measures aim to ensure effective oversight of the online betting sector in Brazil and guarantee that companies contribute adequately to essential areas such as security, health, and education.
