Zona de Azar Brasil – Brazil: Ministry of Sport Honors Women Who Help Drive Sports Forward

Brazil.- March 12, 2025 – www.zonadeazar.com On the morning of this Tuesday (11th), women working at the Ministry of Sport were honored in a special event recognizing their work and dedication to the development of sports in Brazil.

The program began with a yoga class led by a specialist instructor, providing a moment of relaxation and well-being for the participants.

One of the event’s highlights was a conversation with Ellen Costa, General Coordinator of Ligue 180 at the National Secretariat for Combating Violence Against Women of the Ministry of Women. During the discussion, essential issues regarding the fight against gender-based violence and the fundamental role of women in various sectors of society were addressed.

Women with inspiring careers also shared their stories of overcoming challenges and achieving success, encouraging the audience. Among them was Adriana Taboza, President of the Brazilian Authority for Doping Control, who led a discussion circle highlighting the importance of having so many women in key decision-making positions within the Ministry of Sport.

“This is the moment to embrace these women in leadership who inspire us so much, to share stories, to learn, to be strong and empowered, but also to accept that sometimes we are vulnerable and need help. We must recognize that we can, and should, support and uplift other women,” she stated.

The event also included health-focused initiatives, such as a multi-vaccination campaign to ensure participants’ immunization.

This initiative is part of the Ministry of Sport’s celebrations honoring women throughout the month of March. The campaign “Respect. Or Watch Us Win.” will be promoted during this period on the ministry’s website and social media, reinforcing a clear message: either women are respected and valued, or those who doubt them will have to witness their victories, both in sports and in everyday challenges.

The ministry will also present all public initiatives aimed at women, reinforcing its commitment to gender equality and women’s leadership in Brazilian sports.
