Since the announcement of his return, Peixe has gained over 4.5 million new followers on its social media platforms and reached 70,000 club members. This rapid growth has boosted sponsorship value and strengthened the club’s commercial opportunities.

The club received offers from more than ten companies interested in advertising on the team’s jersey. A clear example of this revaluation was the deal with Loovi, a fintech specializing in auto insurance, which significantly increased its investment. Before the star’s arrival, the company had a jersey sponsorship worth $100,000. After Neymar’s return, the value skyrocketed to $515,000.

Santos’ management planned a grand unveiling at Pacaembu and Vila Belmiro, with activations highlighting the club’s commercial partners. Among the ideas was the possibility of branding the helicopter used by the player for the event. However, negotiations with Mercado Libre, the athlete’s personal sponsor, did not progress as expected, but still gained attention. Upon landing in Sorocaba, Neymar was seen wearing sponsored items, including a Red Bull cap and a Replay T-shirt, and received a special gift box from the company containing the newly launched Future 8 soccer boots.

In this context, Netshoes took a prominent role, signing a deal with Santos to sponsor the #NeyDay event. Additionally, it launched the official Santos Store, the club’s online shop, and released a commemorative jersey to celebrate Neymar’s return. PUMA, the athlete’s sponsor, shared a special edit of Neymar entering the Santos field, replacing a younger version of himself from his first era with Peixe.
