Brazil.- June 14, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Euro 2024 will be played starting this Friday (14th) and will bring together the best teams in Europe. The competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations (Uefa) will host Germany for the second time in history.
The 17th edition of the continental tournament, held every four years since 1960, will feature the participation of 24 teams. Germany, France, Italy, Spain, England, Croatia, Portugal and Belgium, among others, will compete in Europe’s main national team tournament.

Sponsors
Euro 2024 will have 13 global sponsors, in addition to four local ones. Among the partners are companies from the most varied segments, such as sports equipment, e-commerce, payment services, betting houses and tourism, among others.
Adidas, AliExpress, Alipay, Atos, Betano, Booking.com, BYD, Coca-Cola, Hisense, Lidl, Engelbert Strauss, Visit Qatar and Vivo will be the global sponsors of the competition.
The partnerships will be accompanied by local sponsors Bitburger, Deutsche Bahn, Deutsche Telekom and Ergo.
Where to look
In Brazil, the transmission of the matches of the European competitions on television will be the responsibility of Grupo Globo, which will use its open channel and Sportv, on closed television, to broadcast the matches of all phases of Euro 2024. Through the Internet, The station will broadcast the games on the Globoplay streaming service and on GE’s website.
Cazé TV, for the first time, will also broadcast the duels of all stages of the tournament. The company’s broadcasts will also be carried out on Prime Video, as part of an agreement with Amazon.
Of the 51 matches that will be played at Euro 2024, 25 will be exclusive to Grupo Globo (TV Globo, Sportv, Globoplay and GE) and 25 to Cazé TV. The final will be broadcast by both.
Game schedules
All Euro 2024 matches will be played during the morning and afternoon periods in the Brazilian time zone. The clashes will take place at 10, 1 or 4 p.m. (Brasília time).
As a result, no match in the competition will take place at the same time as the matches of the Copa América 2024, of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol), which will be played from June 20 and will have confrontations at 7:00 p.m. and 10 p.m. (Brasília time).
Venues and stadiums
The 17th edition of the Euro Cup will have its matches divided into 10 stadiums spread throughout Germany. The cities of Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Stuttgart, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Leipzig, Hamburg and Gelsenkirchen will host the competition matches.
Among the stadiums, the largest will be the Berlin Olympic Stadium, which will host the final and has capacity for 71,000 fans. Some prestigious stadiums, such as the Allianz Arena (70,000 seats), home of Bayern Munich, and the Signal Iduna Park (62,000 seats), of Borussia Dortmund, will also host competitive matches.
MHP Arena (51 thousand), Merkus Spiel-Arena (43 thousand), Deutsche Bank Park (47 thousand), RheinEnergieStadion (43 thousand), Red Bull Arena (40 thousand), Volksparkstadion (49 thousand) and Veltins-Arena (50 thousand ) completes the list of Euro 2024 stadiums.
Awards
The Euro 2024 prize pool, as in most competitions, varies depending on the team’s performance. In total 331 million euros in prizes will be distributed. Just by participating, the teams already guarantee 9.25 million euros.
In the group stage, each victory will generate a bonus of 1 million euros, while ties will pay 500,000 euros. Teams that reach the round of 16 will receive an additional €1.5 million, while those that advance to the quarterfinals will receive an additional €2.5 million.
The four teams that reach the semi-finals will receive 4 million euros, while the finalists will guarantee at least another 5 million euros, a prize that will be awarded to the runner-up. Finally, the team that lifts the cup will win 8 million euros.
As a result, the most a team can earn is 28.25 million euros, just over 160 million reais at the current price.
