Brazil.- May 22, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com A study carried out by CNN in collaboration with Itatiaia and Quaest investigated the involvement of Brazilian fans with sports betting, a topic that has gained prominence in conversations on social networks and among groups of friends.
The survey, which interviewed people aged 16 to over 51, revealed that 15% of sports fans have already participated in online betting. It was also observed that the frequency of betting is higher among younger people.
Among those interviewed between 16 and 30 years old, 25% said they had placed bets, while in the range of 31 to 50 years old the rate dropped to 16%, and for those over 51 years old, only 7% said the same. The study also highlighted important gender differences: 22% of men interviewed have played, compared to 9% of women.
In terms of income, 13% of those who earn up to two minimum salaries have already placed bets, compared to 16% of those who earn between two and five minimum salaries and 17% of those who earn more than five minimum salaries.
In total, “Maior Radiografia del Fan” consulted 6,373 people, with 5,023 detailed interviews with fans from 278 cities and 714 young people from 7 to 15 years old. The data were collected from April 27 to May 1 of this year, through face-to-face interviews, with a margin of error of 1.4 percentage points and a confidence level of 95%.
