Brazil.- May 23, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com   The president of LOTERJ, Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, receives a visit from the President of the Special Commission for Sports Betting Platforms, Mozart Castello, to address issues related to the promotion of activities sports betting, prevention of gambling manipulation and market regulation.

The vice president of the Commission, Marcus Costa, and lawyer Daniel Macedo also attended the meeting. Representing LOTERJ, Vice President Fabíola Esteves, Chief of Staff, Juliana Albuquerque de Paula, and Head of Legal Affairs, Nathalia Fernandes.

President Hazenclever highlighted “the importance of the permanent dialogue of the LOTERJ with organized society, such as the Brazilian Bar Association through its Special Commissions, stimulating the consolidation of a formal and regulated market for sports betting and online games and combating tax evasion and tax evasion.

For his part, the president of the Commission, Mozart Castello, pointed out that “the OAB/RJ Barra da Tijuca, through the Special Commission of Sports Betting Platforms, had the honor of assisting the LOTERJ to establish a constructive dialogue and deepen the understanding of the accreditation of sports betting platforms in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Interinstitutional dialogue is essential for us to achieve significant progress, providing greater transparency, security and equity, considering the sensitivity of the issue. We are convinced that we will be able to regulate the market fairly and provide resources to our State, thus promoting the generation of employment and income. “LOTERJ’s accreditation model currently stands out as the fairest and most inclusive for all iGaming segments.”
