Zona de Azar Brazil – Brazil: Porto Alegre Residents Spend R$ 249 Per Year on Sports Betting

Brazil.- November 26, 2024. www.zonadeazar.com A survey conducted by Sindilojas Porto Alegre revealed that, on average, each bettor in the city spends R$ 249 annually on sports betting through online platforms, known as “Bets.”

The survey also shows that, among respondents, 41% are against betting, 23% are in favor, and 32.8% are indifferent. Most supporters are men (26.6%) compared to women (19.9%).

Bettor Profile

The study revealed that over 60% of Porto Alegre residents have never placed a bet, while 8% bet frequently, and 13% bet occasionally.

Among bettors, the most active age group is Generation Z (18 to 29 years), with around 35% placing occasional or frequent bets. Class C (income of 4 to 10 minimum wages) spends the most, with an average annual expenditure of R$ 255.
