Mexico City, July 16, 2024 -. Codere.mx has successfully concluded the largest Freebet in Mexico this Sunday, July 14, with the $200,000 bet placed by its ‘GOAT’, Rodrigo G., who won this prize after the group stage of the tournament.

Rodrigo, originally from Monterrey, was selected as the GOAT of Codere.mx on July 3 based on a ranking that evaluated the amount bet and won by participants during the most important meetings of the summer.

At an official watch party in Mexico City, Rodrigo presented his bet in the final of the tournament, although it did not win, after Colombia lost against Argentina in overtime after a 0-0 draw in regular time.

“Despite the result, this has been a wonderful experience. I want to thank Codere.mx for this journey and I can’t wait to see the new dynamics they will be presenting in the future,” said Rodrigo G.

Codere.mx made sure that Rodrigo had a unique experience, even if he did not win the final, making him their star during the last two weeks of the tournament. “Since we selected Rodrigo, we wanted him to feel like our GOAT and we gave him a unique journey with Codere.

A few days ago he traveled to CDMX to record some spots and this weekend he returned to bet the $200,000. It was very exciting to accompany him in this Freebet and we really hope he enjoyed it,” explained Carlos González De Las Cuevas, Brand Manager at Codere.mx.

The Freebet began on June 20 with the first match between Argentina and Canada, and culminated with the announcement of the winner after the last group stage match.

This is the third market in which Codere.mx carries out a Freebet, after having presented the dynamic in Spain 2018 and in Colombia in 2022.
