Zona de Azar Peru – Peru: Remote Betting and Other Games Will Be Subject to Consumption Tax

Perú.-  August 20, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com  The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru announced that remote gambling and betting will be subject to the selective consumption tax (ISC) and a specific tax. Additionally, it clarified that the general sales tax (IGV) will not apply to these activities.

Since April, online sports betting companies in Peru have been required to pay 12% of their net profit to the State, which is expected to generate an annual revenue of S/ 162 million. The government plans to amend the law to improve the application and collection of these taxes.
