Zona de Azar Philippine – PAGCOR Launches New Bingo Game Ahead of Regulatory Transition

Philippine.- February 27, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has released a new bingo game.

This announcement comes as the organisation has begun its transition away from an operator and towards a purely regulatory body.

This was first announced last September when PAGCOR Chairman Alejandro H. Tengco explained: “We have started preparing for this transition in earnest and we are starting where it matters most – within PAGCOR itself.”

This is intended to strengthen the industry in the Philippines, to ensure its longevity and the safety of players.

However, before this has been solidified, the Corporation will release its latest bingo game, “Mas Pinasayang Bingo Big Time Milyonaryo”.

The game will go live on 17 March at the Le Pavillon Metropolitan Park in Pasay City.

The first nine games of the series will have a guaranteed pot of ₱1m (US$17,835), while the final game will double this to ₱2m in prizes.

A ticket for ₱3,000 will give a player four cards for each of the ten games.

On its website, a PAGCOR spokesperson said: “The “Mas Pinasayang Bingo Big Time Milyonaryo” is a fitting sequel to the “Paskong Big Time Bingo Milyonaryo” linked bingo games held last December where seven lucky players won ₱1m each.”

This isn’t the only surprising announcement to come from PAGCOR since it revealed its intent to become a regulatory body last year though.

Only a few weeks ago, the Corporation directly addressed rumours that it was mismanaging its funds.

The allegations targeted properties used by PAGCOR which are receiving renovations, as well as claims that employees were being made redundant.
