Zona de Azar USA – AGA Launches Free Anti-Human Trafficking Training

USA.- January 12, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The American Gaming Association (AGA), in partnership with RG24seven Virtual Training, has launched a set of free online training materials to combat human trafficking in the gaming industry.

The materials were made available on 11 January; National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

The materials compile information and insights from various non-profits and law enforcement, as well as the AGA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force. The materials will include videos and quizzes designed to educate participants who will receive a verified certificate upon completing the training.

Organisations can contact RG24seven to gain company-wide access to the materials.

AGA has not been the only body in the gambling industry to develop anti-human trafficking material ahead of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Hard Rock International and Seminole Gaming have expanded their education programmes, tools and resources to combat human trafficking. In past years, Hard Rock has trained over 27,000 hotel and casino staff in trafficking awareness and prevention.

On the training, AGA VP, Government Relations Alex Costello said: “Combating human trafficking is integral to our industry’s commitment to the communities in which we operate.

“The AGA is proud to lead the industry’s fight against this abhorrent crime and this free training empowers employees at all levels to spot and prevent cases of human trafficking.”

RG24seven CEO Wendy Anderson said she was “honoured to work with the AGA” to help advance human trafficking prevention in the industry.

Alongside the training, the AGA will also be releasing an industry-specific anti-human trafficking toolkit in collaboration with Human Trafficking Prevention Month. It will also be hosting events at the University of Maryland’s SAFE Center and various US government offices.
