USA.- June 13th 2023 www.zonadeazar.com Teamsters Local 986 is pleased to announce that The Venetian Resort has willingly recognized Local 986 as the exclusive representative for the resort’s valet agents and traffic control officers. This successful organizing effort marks the first instance of Teamsters’ recognition at The Venetian Resort.

“We extend our congratulations to these workers for being the inaugural group of Venetian employees to secure union representation,” stated Chris Griswold, Vice President At-Large for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and Secretary-Treasurer of Local 986. “We warmly welcome over 100 new members to Local 986 and are already preparing for negotiations on their initial union contract.”

“We are thrilled to become members of Teamsters Local 986,” expressed Jason Carrodine, a valet agent at The Venetian Resort. “We eagerly anticipate negotiating a robust contract that provides us with written assurances to ensure our needs are met here at The Venetian. This has been a long-awaited achievement!”

These workers join the ranks of over 5,000 casino employees nationwide who are represented by the Teamsters.
