Zona de Azar USA – Venetian’s Poker Room Relocation and Expansion: A Bold Move into Modern Poker

USA.- February 22, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com In a strategic move to redefine the landscape of modern poker, Venetian has unveiled plans to relocate and expand its poker room, marking a significant development in the resort’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of the poker experience.

Set for this summer, the poker room will undergo a transformative shift from its current spot on The Venetian’s casino floor to the second level of the Grand Canal Shoppes—a bustling shopping district seamlessly connecting the resort to its counterpart, Palazzo.

The remodeled room, boasting a spacious 14,000 square feet, will accommodate an expanded array of tables, increasing from 35 to an impressive 50.

Responding to invaluable player feedback garnered over the years, the revamped space will introduce an array of enhancements. These include dedicated bathrooms, a convenient self-serve Coca-Cola soda fountain and coffee station, USB and USB-C charging ports at every seat, streamlined online ordering directly to players’ seats, sports betting facilities, and intuitive player loyalty kiosks.

Tommy LaRosa, Director of Poker Operations, enthusiastically described the forthcoming poker room as a paradigm shift, featuring a “completely different look and feel”—a modern, clean, and uniquely designed space. Emphasizing accessibility, LaRosa highlighted the advantages of the new location within the shopping district, providing swift access to Palazzo’s self-parking garage and a plethora of nearby restaurants, all away from the typical smoke and noise associated with the gaming floor.

One standout addition is the incorporation of a dedicated streaming room, allowing players to coordinate vlogging sessions and stream final tables from the DeepStack tournament series and cash games. LaRosa expressed optimism that these live streams would serve as a magnet for newcomers, enticing them to explore and immerse themselves in the distinct poker experience offered by The Venetian.

The existing poker room, a cornerstone since its inception in 2006, will continue operations until the seamless transition to the new location, with the specific opening date eagerly anticipated by poker enthusiasts.

While the resort remained discreet about the financial investment required for this expansive project, LaRosa conveyed the sentiment that this strategic move reflects a profound belief in the enduring support from the poker community, even amidst the evolving landscape of poker room business models.

“It’s a rare occurrence for a company to make such a substantial investment in poker,” remarked LaRosa, underlining the palpable excitement within the team and their unwavering confidence in the players who form the backbone of their poker room.
