Canada.- Agust 22, 2018 www.zonadeazar.com The ever-popular PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) returns to Barcelona with a 34-tournament festival running from August 21 to September 2 at Casino Barcelona.

This year marks the record 15th time for PokerStars LIVE to come back to the Catalonian capital, which has become the hotbed of the European live poker scene over the course of the last decade. EPT Barcelona has been breaking attendance records in tournaments across various buy-in ranges, annually attracting thousands of poker players including elite professionals, fans and recreational players.

EPT Barcelona 2018 once again offers a lot of action for players of any calibre with the packed schedule boasting major events of various buy-in levels. The crown jewels include the €100,000 Super High Roller along with the flagship €5,300 EPT Main Event and the €1,100 EPT National, the largest live tournament ever held in PokerStars history with 4,557 entries in 2017.

This year, each EPT Barcelona player will receive a €7 voucher for refreshments in all food outlets at Casino Barcelona for every unique tournament registration they make.

TEN PLATINUM PASSES TO BE AWARDED AT EPT BARCELONA
Ten Platinum Pass packages, valued at $30,000 each, will be up for grabs at EPT Barcelona. Players will have a chance to win a trip to The Bahamas to compete in the highly anticipated 2019 PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC). Passes will be awarded to the winners of the National, Cup, Live Qualifier and Main Event, in addition to the longest lasting qualifier (live and online) in the Main Event.

FIVE DAYS OF CARDS-UP LIVE STREAMS ON POKERSTARS TV
EPT fans can enjoy a five-day broadcast from EPT Barcelona, provided by PokerStars TV. The coverage will focus on the €5,300 Main Event with the first stream airing on August 29 (Day 2). The broadcast will then commence on each of the following days all the way to the winner’s ceremony. Seasoned commentators James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton will be joined by Twitch stars, PokerStars Ambassadors Ben Spragg and Fintan Hand. The action on the feature tables will include the hole cards of all players.

POKERSTARS AMBASSADORS
PokerStars will have a strong representation in the tournament fields with a handful of Ambassadors coming to Barcelona. Those who are headed to the most popular EPT stop include Daniel Negreanu, Liv Boeree and Igor Kurganov, Maria Konnikova, Celina Lin, Randy Lew, Jake Cody, Jeff Gross, Fatima Moreira de Melo, Leo Fernandez, Muskan Sethi, Jaime Staples and Andre Akkari, who will defend his fifth-place finish in the Main Event.

PLAYERS PARTY
The PokerStars Players Party will be held on Sunday, August 26 from 9 p.m. – 12 a.m. at Bestial, which is only a two-minute walk from Casino Barcelona. The party will feature an open bar, complimentary food and live music from DJ Tribiza.

BRAND NEW STARS STORE
PokerStars is adding even more to the EPT Barcelona program this year, with an exclusive Pop-up Stars Store. Players will be given an exclusive preview of the brand-new Stars Store and its new additions, with items available for purchase using either cash or a credit card at the special pop-up store which will be open between August 21 – September 2.
Items available on site include traditional PokerStars merchandise, as well as premium co-branded PokerStars/Hugo Boss clothing, hats and other PokerStars branded products. The products will also be available through the online Stars Store which will launch during EPT Barcelona.

PokerStars are offering players a chance to have their say and shape the PSPC via an online survey, which gives players the opportunity to get involved, have their say and influence many aspects of the tournament format.
