Zona de Azar USA – Las Vegas Strip Restoration Update: Gondoliers Return, Grandstand Removal Pending

USA.- November 30th 2023 www.zonadeazar.com Strip attractions are gradually returning to their normal state following the Formula One race, with trees reappearing in front of Bellagio. There’s a commitment that gondoliers will resume their activities in front of The Venetian by early December.

The fate of the three-story grandstands and luxury boxes obstructing the view of Bellagio fountains from Las Vegas Boulevard remains uncertain. The removal of these structures is necessary to restore the visibility of fountain shows from the Strip.

A representative from The Venetian Resort mentioned on Tuesday that, if all goes according to plan, the viewing platform over the outdoor lagoon will be taken down soon, bringing back the singing gondolier experience.

“With the completion of the Formula One race, we are working to restore the resort exterior to its iconic picturesque Italian motif, which includes the outdoor gondola experience,” stated The Venetian in an email. “We anticipate the outdoor gondolas will be ready for guests in early December. The indoor gondola experience is still available on Level 2 of the resort.”

Moving south on the Strip, MGM Resorts International has expressed intentions to dismantle the structure housing the Bellagio Fountain Club for F1 fans and store it until the 2024 race in a parking garage.

The grandstands and boxes were initially constructed, and trees were removed to enhance the sightlines for race enthusiasts. As of Monday night, some fir trees in crates had been relocated to the front of Bellagio.

“The timeline and specific species of the streetside trees are still being determined,” noted Krystal Webb of MGM in an email. “The trees along the lakeside should be back by the end of the year, which has previously been reported.” However, there was no response regarding the duration for removing the Fountain Club viewing structure.

Please stay tuned for further updates on this developing story.
