Argentina. – February 18, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com The EGR Power Latam conference returned for its 16th edition at the Hilton Buenos Aires, an exclusive event for Latin American gaming market leaders. This event took place February 11-12 and continues to be the premier place to connect with peers and gain industry-leading insights.

Over the past two years, Latin America has emerged as a key player on the global gaming scene. With the regulation of Chile, Colombia and the giant Brazilian market, the region’s growth potential seems limitless. This growth has attracted both established global operators and innovative local players. The region is transforming from an emerging hub to an established player in the gaming industry.

Over two days, the conference featured sessions that explored the region’s growth potential and regulatory landscape. Key topics included the fight against underage gambling, the rise of sports sponsorships and new anti-money laundering regulations. The event also offered ample networking opportunities for those operating in or planning to enter the Latin American market, as well as for compliance, legal and regulatory experts.

In this context we had the chance to interview Neil Montgomery, Founding and Managing Partner of Montgomery. Here is the interview:

“We are here in Buenos Aires, at the EGR Power LATAM Summit, which is always the first big gaming event of the year in Latin America. For me it is always very important to be here, not only because almost 20 years ago it was responsible for introducing me to the world of gaming, but it is also a smaller event where the decision makers are, it is also an opportunity to practice Spanish, which we don’t always have. So for me it is very important to be here in Buenos Aires at the EGR Power LATAM Summit”.
