In November, Virginia’s trio of casinos posted a combined adjusted gaming revenue of $51.2 million. While the Bristol Casino, soon to be the home of Hard Rock, experienced a slight decline in revenues compared to October, the casinos in Danville and Portsmouth saw modest increases.

The Bristol Casino, as per a report from the Virginia Lottery overseeing most gaming activities in the state, reported adjusted gaming revenues of nearly $12.1 million for November, down from $12.6 million in October. The report breaks down the revenue sources, revealing that the casino’s 908 slot machines contributed $10.14 million, constituting 84% of the total revenue. Meanwhile, play from the casino’s 29 table games generated $1.94 million, accounting for about 16% of the total. Notably, the drop was primarily observed in table games, which generated $2.35 million in October, according to lottery figures.

The Bristol Casino contributed $2.17 million in state gaming tax revenue, with over $725,000 earmarked for the Regional Improvement Commission. These funds will be distributed among the 14 city and county governments in Southwest Virginia next year.

The Rivers Casino Portsmouth, the state’s inaugural permanent casino, reported a total adjusted gaming revenue of $21.6 million. This comprised $14.6 million from slots (67%) and nearly $7 million from its 81 table games. The Portsmouth casino contributed $4.97 million in state tax revenues and $1.51 million to the city of Portsmouth.

In Danville, the temporary Caesars Virginia facility reported $17.5 million in adjusted gaming revenue for November. This included $12.8 million from its 830 slots (73%) and nearly $4.7 million from its 33 table games. The Danville casino generated $3.1 million in state tax revenues and over $1 million for the host city.

Statewide, slots accounted for $37.6 million or 73% of the total revenues, while table games contributed $13.6 million, constituting 27%, according to lottery figures. Collectively, the three facilities contributed almost $10.3 million in state tax revenues and $3.3 million for the localities.
