Tabcorp to Acquire BetMakers for A$267 Million

Australia.- 11 August 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Tabcorp Holdings has agreed to acquire BetMakers Technology Group for A$267 million, in a transaction designed to accelerate the modernisation of its wagering technology stack and strengthen its international business.

The combination will bring together Tabcorp’s rights, content and customer relationships with BetMakers’ platforms, data, pari-mutuel technology and B2B wagering services.

News Details

BetMakers is an ASX-listed technology company providing B2B wagering infrastructure, data and analytics products, racing content and pari-mutuel tote technology.

Tabcorp believes the acquisition will enable it to leverage the technology transformation completed by BetMakers over the past two years and accelerate its own product ambitions.

The transaction is also intended to provide greater scale, diversification and growth potential across the group’s existing international operations.

A major focus will be strengthening Tabcorp’s technology proposition across wagering, media and tote products by combining the assets and capabilities of both companies.

Industry Context

The acquisition comes as Tabcorp continues a broader strategic transformation and technology-modernisation programme.

Integrating BetMakers will add specialist racing platforms, data and B2B wagering services to a business that already controls significant rights, content and customer relationships.

The transaction also represents a notable consolidation move within Australia’s wagering and technology sector, combining one of the country’s major betting businesses with a specialist wagering-infrastructure provider.

Gillon McLachlan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tabcorp, said:

“The acquisition of BetMakers will accelerate our strategy across multiple areas. BetMakers has undergone a significant transformation over the past two years and built impressive wagering technology and a talented team.”

He added:

“Combining BetMakers’ business with our rights, content and customer relationships creates a differentiated offering that will unlock growth and deliver attractive financial returns.”

Jake Henson, Chief Executive Officer of BetMakers, said the companies share a common purpose of building a market-leading global wagering and media business by combining Tabcorp’s rights and content with BetMakers’ platforms, data and B2B wagering services.

Next Steps or Impact

The parties are targeting implementation of the transaction during the third quarter of FY27.

Completion remains subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions precedent, including regulatory approvals.

Once finalised, the acquisition is expected to accelerate Tabcorp’s technology development, expand its B2B capabilities and strengthen its international wagering, racing and media proposition.
