ProntoPaga Targets Argentina and US$10 Billion Payment Volume

Argentina.- 11 August 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Chilean fintech ProntoPaga is preparing to enter Argentina during the second half of 2026 as part of a regional expansion strategy that also includes a planned Mexico launch during the first half of 2027.

The company aims to process US$10 billion in payments across Latin America in 2027, more than double the approximately US$4 billion projected for 2026.

News Details

ProntoPaga plans to launch in Argentina alongside some of the country’s leading betting and gaming operators.

The company has already completed the licensing processes required for Argentina, Peru and Chile while continuing to prepare its entry into additional Latin American jurisdictions.

One of its principal competitive differentiators is payout speed. ProntoPaga has evolved from an initial commitment to process withdrawals within 20 minutes to a current target of completing them in under 60 seconds.

This capability is particularly important within online betting, where customers’ ability to access winnings quickly can directly influence trust and retention.

Industry Context

ProntoPaga was co-founded by Sebastián Salazar and Evans Concha at the end of 2021 and became profitable in October 2023.

Gaming remains the principal driver of its business, currently accounting for approximately 70% of transactions and 80% of company revenue.

At the same time, the fintech is seeking to diversify into areas including e-commerce, healthcare and subscription payments.

Its expansion strategy follows a compliance-led model involving regulatory checks on merchants, scrutiny of banking and financial partners and reporting to financial intelligence units in each market.

This approach is especially relevant for payment providers serving betting and gaming companies because of the sector’s anti-money-laundering and financial-traceability requirements.

Regional Expansion

Following its Argentina launch, ProntoPaga plans to enter Mexico during the first half of 2027.

In parallel, the company is developing YOL1, a neobank proposition built on the regional payments infrastructure it already operates.

Its longer-term strategy centres on two principal areas: maintaining a leading role in gaming and gambling payments processing and developing digital infrastructure for cross-border commerce between Latin America and Asia.

Next Steps or Impact

The Argentina launch will represent one of ProntoPaga’s principal steps towards achieving its US$10 billion processing target for 2027.

The company will seek to attract operators through a combination of regulatory compliance, regional infrastructure and instant-withdrawal technology.

Its growth plans also highlight the increasing importance of specialist payment providers within Latin American iGaming, where speed, security and regulatory adaptability have become central considerations for operators and customers.
