Brazil.- 12 August 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Esportes Gaming Brasil (EGB), the group behind Esportes da Sorte, Onabet and Lottu, has been shortlisted for the Global Gaming Awards Americas 2026 for its Costura Cidadã social-impact project.
The company is competing in the Responsible Business of the Year category, recognising initiatives focused on corporate responsibility and positive impact within the gaming industry.
News Details
Costura Cidadã was developed during the 2026 Carnival in Olinda, Pernambuco, with a focus on income generation, productive inclusion and strengthening the local creative economy.
The initiative trained more than 80 women in sewing and textile-production techniques.
Participants produced items subsequently used in the company’s Carnival activations, including the event’s official large-scale flag.
Alongside professional training, the project sought to create employment opportunities and strengthen participants’ financial independence.
Social and Environmental Impact
Esportes Gaming Brasil’s Carnival programme also included measures designed to support the local informal economy.
Accredited street vendors received customised stalls and kits including shirts, coolers, parasols and accessories to support their work during the celebrations.
The group also supported more than 40 historic Carnival blocs and organisations participating in the festivities.
In Recife and Salvador, recyclable-material collectors received waste-management training, personal protective equipment, hydration support and daily financial bonuses.
In Caicó, Rio Grande do Norte, EGB hired local suppliers to manufacture some of the promotional hats and caps used during Carnival activations.
The group also implemented carbon-offsetting measures alongside initiatives focused on responsible waste management and material reuse.
