Aristocrat Leisure Continues Gaining Market Share in 2025, Jefferies Reports

Australia.- July 8th 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Analyst sees sustained growth in ANZ and strong momentum in U.S. driven by innovative games and strategic IP acquisitions
According to Jefferies Equity Research, Aristocrat Leisure is poised to maintain and grow its market share through the third quarter of 2025. In a recent investor note, Jefferies analyst Kai Erman stated that Aristocrat’s dominant position—holding 50% market share in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ)—is “sustainable” for at least another year.
Robust Growth in the U.S. Market
In the United States, Aristocrat’s momentum remains strong. Growth is being driven by successful titles such as:
-
Phoenix Link
-
Baron
-
House of the Dragon
-
Hyper Link
-
Spooky Link
The acquisition of licensing rights to the “Monopoly” board game—previously a top-three title for rival Light & Wonder—has further strengthened Aristocrat’s portfolio. Erman anticipates the installation of 4,000 Monopoly-branded machines in the medium term, supported by a replacement cycle that favors newer, high-performing games over legacy machines.
Market Dynamics and Strategic Advantage
The merger of International Game Technology (IGT) and Everi Holdings under Apollo Management could offer Aristocrat a window of opportunity. Erman explained that although IGT/Everi may return to the market stronger, delays due to non-compete clauses and cost-cutting priorities could slow the process.
“The conversion of legacy units across the industry provides a solid foundation for Aristocrat’s continued growth,” noted Erman.
Australia and New Zealand: Market Penetration Expands
In ANZ, Aristocrat is regaining strength with recent data suggesting it could increase its market share to 55%–60%, thanks to standout performance from the Baron cabinet, as well as Cashman, More Chill, Thunder Empire, and Super Grand.
Positive Outlook for 2025
Erman concluded that Aristocrat’s share gains are expected to continue in the U.S. market, especially as the Interactive segment begins contributing more significantly to overall earnings.
