Brazilian Court Orders bet365 to Reactivate Blocked Bettor’s Account

In a historic decision for Brazil’s online betting market, the court has ordered bet365 to fully restore a bettor’s account that had been blocked following a series of successful wagers. The judge ruled the closure was arbitrary and violated the principle of good faith in contracts.

The legal team representing the client stated that the bettor always acted responsibly and complied with platform rules. The court rejected bet365’s “Responsible Gambling” argument and deemed the unilateral termination clauses abusive and invalid.

The platform has five days to comply with the decision or face daily fines and compensation for moral damages. As of publication, bet365 has not made any official statement on the matter.
