Aristocrat and Light & Wonder Retain Slot Leadership After G2E

United States.- 7 October 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Aristocrat Leisure and Light & Wonder continue to stand out as the leading suppliers in the slot-machine market following their latest product showcases at Global Gaming Expo, G2E 2026, in Las Vegas.

Jefferies Equity Research analyst Kai Erman highlighted the strength of both companies and believes the current market structure remains favourable to their growth.

Aristocrat Holds the Top Position

Erman continues to view Aristocrat as the number-one supplier in the market.

The company is further consolidating its position across land-based casinos while also gaining traction in iGaming.

According to figures highlighted by the analyst, Aristocrat accounts for around 30% of casino floor share and approximately 50% of handle.

Leadership Creates Room for Rivals

Aristocrat’s high level of penetration also limits the amount of incremental casino floor space it can capture in some properties.

Erman believes additional capacity is therefore increasingly likely to flow towards Light & Wonder.

Even so, he expects Aristocrat to maintain leadership across both outright machine sales and leased or participation gaming.

New Reign Cabinets

Among Aristocrat’s key G2E launches was the Reign Double leased cabinet.

The supplier also introduced the Reign Single for outright sale.

Jefferies responded positively to both products and believes they can support momentum across Aristocrat’s two main commercial models.

Renewed Dragon Link Focus

Aristocrat has also renewed its focus on the Dragon Link franchise.

The supplier expects its core Dragon Link titles to remain an important performance driver across casino floors.

Light & Wonder Has Share-Gain Opportunity

Light & Wonder, meanwhile, has opportunities to increase share across several important markets.

Erman believes this could accelerate revenue growth through:

  • Leased gaming.
  • Charitable gaming.
  • International markets.
  • Outright sales.

Strong Product Pipeline

The analyst was particularly impressed by the breadth of Light & Wonder’s product pipeline.

New Monsters titles were highlighted alongside updates to UFL and Kong.

The company also received positive feedback around its Shufflemaster improvements and table-games products.

Casino Competition Supports Replacement Demand

Increasing competition between properties on the Las Vegas Strip is creating additional opportunities for manufacturers.

Erman said casinos are increasingly looking towards premium products to differentiate their gaming floors.

Higher transportation, diesel and labour costs are also helping support replacement demand.

Charitable Gaming Opportunity

Light & Wonder is also expanding its charitable gaming business through Grover Gaming.

The subsidiary highlighted a strong product pipeline and faster conversion of traditional casino content into charitable markets.

A new cabinet designed specifically for charitable gaming is scheduled to launch in 2027.

Cascada Expands

Light & Wonder’s Cascada product is already live in Kentucky and is expected to expand into Ohio during the fourth quarter.

Erman believes the increasing use of casino-style mechanics, including progressive jackpots, can support long-term market-share gains for suppliers offering differentiated content.

International Recovery

Light & Wonder is also seeking to recover market share in Australia and New Zealand.

Recent releases include Rolling Drums and Big Steam.

Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein are scheduled for November launches, initially tailored to Australian players.

IGT Adjusts Strategy

International Game Technology is simultaneously going through a strategic repositioning.

The company is increasing its focus on the Class II market and fintech products.

Jefferies sees IGT’s Class II opportunity as complementary to Light & Wonder’s potential share gains in Class III gaming.

iGaming Becomes Another Growth Front

Aristocrat is also expanding digitally.

The launch of Lightning Link in iGaming significantly improved the company’s market-share rankings.

Management believes the franchise can become a durable long-term contributor.

Light & Wonder Moves Land-Based Content Online

Light & Wonder said the digital launch of Lightning Link had not produced a noticeable impact on its own business.

The company continues improving its ability to transfer successful land-based titles into online channels.

Next Steps or Impact

The post-G2E assessment confirms that Aristocrat and Light & Wonder continue to set the pace in the global slot market.

Aristocrat enters 2027 from a dominant position, while Light & Wonder sees opportunities to capture incremental share across casino, charitable and international markets.

Competition will increasingly revolve around new cabinets, premium franchises and the ability to connect successful land-based content with digital channels.
