Betsson Launches Flagship Brand in Belgium Following betFIRST Rebrand

Belgium.- 6 October 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Betsson Group has officially launched its flagship Betsson brand in Belgium through the rebranding of its existing betFIRST operation.

The move forms part of the group’s wider strategy to bring more of its international operations under a single global brand.

From betFIRST to Betsson

The launch does not represent an entirely new operation.

Betsson is replacing the betFIRST identity following the group’s acquisition of the brand in June 2023.

Existing customers will continue to access the same products and services under the new branding.

Platform Upgrades

The migration also includes a range of technology and product improvements.

These include:

  • Platform upgrades.
  • Refreshed mobile apps.
  • Betsson-branded live casino content.
  • Exclusive games.

Regulated Belgian Presence

Betsson already operates within Belgium’s locally regulated framework.

In October 2023, the group secured an A+ online casino licence through its partnership with Groupe Partouche.

The betFIRST online casino offering subsequently launched in January 2024.

Global Brand Strategy

The Belgian migration follows similar changes implemented by Betsson across other European markets.

The group has been consolidating local brands under the Betsson identity in order to strengthen recognition, marketing efficiency and international consistency.

Statements

Betsson Operations CEO Jesper Svensson described the rebrand as a natural next step for the company.

He said aligning operations under the Betsson brand will help unlock broader marketing synergies, strengthen the group’s global identity and maintain the customer experience.

Betsson as the Flagship Brand

Betsson is the group’s main global flagship brand.

The company also operates names including Betsafe, NordicBet and StarCasino, although it has increasingly expanded the Betsson identity across locally regulated markets.

Focus on Local Regulation

The strategy is also connected to Betsson’s aim of increasing its exposure to locally regulated jurisdictions.

The group believes such markets offer stronger consumer confidence and improved opportunities to build sustainable long-term operations.

Betsson Foundation

Alongside the Belgian launch, the group has also announced the creation of the Betsson Foundation.

The new public benefit foundation will coordinate charitable, community and sports-related initiatives across the company’s markets.

Next Steps or Impact

The rebrand allows Betsson to deploy the same identity in Belgium that it has been expanding across several international markets.

For the group, moving betFIRST under the flagship brand strengthens global positioning, creates additional marketing synergies and simplifies brand management within an established regulated operation.
