Betsson Reports Record Q3 Revenue of €326.5 Million as EBIT Falls 31%

Sweden.- 23 October 2026 | www.zonadeazar.com Betsson AB has published its financial results for the third quarter of 2026, reporting record revenue of €326.5 million, representing 10% year-on-year growth.

However, operating profit (EBIT) declined by 31% to €46.1 million, primarily reflecting higher gambling taxes, increased operating costs and lower B2B licensing revenue.

The report, published on 22 October 2026, identifies Latin America and online casino operations as the main drivers of revenue growth.

Key Financial Results

For July to September 2026, Betsson reported:

  • Revenue: €326.5 million, up 10%.
  • EBITDA: €63.4 million, down 23%.
  • EBIT: €46.1 million, down 31%.
  • Net income: €28.2 million, down 44%.
  • Operating margin: 14.1%, compared with 22.6% a year earlier.
  • Active customers: 1.87 million, up 40%.

Despite the year-on-year decline in profitability, EBIT improved compared with the €42.2 million recorded in the second quarter of 2026.

Latin America Drives Revenue Growth

Latin America became Betsson’s largest regional market, generating €116.1 million in revenue, representing 51.8% year-on-year growth.

The region accounted for 36% of total group revenue.

Argentina, Peru and Colombia delivered particularly strong performances.

Pontus Lindwall, President and CEO of Betsson AB, highlighted growth in Argentina and Peru, supported by strong customer activity and successful marketing campaigns linked to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Western Europe also achieved record revenue of €64.8 million, up 13.8%, with Italy leading regional growth.

Online Casino Revenue Reaches Record Levels

Betsson’s online casino segment generated €253.5 million, representing 13.7% year-on-year growth.

Casino operations accounted for 77% of total group revenue.

During the quarter, Betsson added 478 casino games, including 40 titles with an initial exclusivity period for its brands.

Meanwhile, sportsbook revenue reached €71.8 million, increasing by 0.8%, while the sportsbook margin declined from 8.8% to 8.1%.

Higher Taxes and B2B Decline Affect Profitability

Betsson’s revenue growth was accompanied by higher tax obligations.

Betting duties increased from €41.4 million to €69.4 million, while the gross margin declined from 64.2% to 55.5%.

In addition, B2B licensing revenue fell from €76.9 million to €46.7 million, mainly due to lower revenue from one customer.

The company explained that expansion in locally regulated markets brings higher taxation costs, particularly in Latin America.

Revenue from locally regulated markets represented 77.7% of total group revenue.

Rhino Acquisition and Outlook

In August, Betsson completed the acquisition of assets and operations from Rhino Entertainment Group, strengthening its Canadian presence and technology capabilities.

During the first nine months of 2026, the group generated €922.1 million in revenue, representing 3% growth, while EBIT declined by 39% to €122.3 million.

The company also reported that average daily revenue in the fourth quarter, up to 18 October, was 11% higher than the average for the corresponding quarter of 2025.

Betsson is scheduled to publish its fourth-quarter results on 4 February 2027.

Industry Impact

The results highlight Betsson’s commercial expansion, particularly in Latin America and online casino operations, alongside the profitability challenges facing international gambling operators.

The combination of higher taxes, expansion across regulated markets and changes in B2B revenue will remain central to the company’s financial performance.
